Katherine Newcomer lawson

Katy (she/her) is a Marine Zoologist working at the New York Natural Heritage Program, working closely with NYSDEC Division of Marine Resources. She received her PhD from SUNY-ESF after working with Joshua Drew on invertebrate biodiversity in Fiji.

She was previously a marine scientist working for the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center.
